Life at Frog is rarely the same day to day. There are few jobs which you can get up to in a morning and know with absolute certainty, that you are making the world better for someone, somewhere. Frog serves up intranet and learning solutions to over ~16 million users and has even been mentioned at Google's IO conference!!

In six months at Frog my immediate focus has never really been the same month-to-month! From Bug fixing to Speech Recognition I can truly say I have done somethings!

Speech Recognition and Speech Synthesis

So this month, I have been looking at creating a fully portable JavaScript library to work with FrogOS. As well as being portable, therefore allowing the component to work at various levels of the system, it also has to handle the events such as a browser does not support the core API's, various network and firewall issues, with grace. The component is written in native JavaScript with no external dependencies other than the support of the venders.

So this month, I have been considering the possibility of building a terminal experience, inside of the FrogOS web platform. The app needs to be extensible and work similar to native terminal clients.
